Today is a day of sewing! Gran has come and collected Fin so the house is blissful quiet. I am working on a strawberry patterned, breast feeding apron with matching bib and burp cloth.... I'm having fun with the minkie fabric as it seems to be like sewing snot, it slides around and creases and stretches! But with a little love it seems to be giving in and the end results look good.
The poor lonely chicken is not very happy about the weather (damp and drizzly.) it's too dank to spend much time outside so she's having to spend more time on her own. Thankfully moving the chicken run up the garden means she can watch me pottering around the house.
I 'm waiting for my canvas tote bags to arrive and after much deliberation I decided to buy them and pimp them rather than make my own. Hopefully they'll be here soon I could do with an activity for later as I have 4 childminding children after school today and in this weather they'll be climbing the walls if there not amused.
Outside my window: the sparrows are building nests. They look funny carrying so much grass in there beaks.
I am thinking: I could do without Fin's cold which he has lovingly shared with me.
I am listening to: nothing at all, it's lovely to have some quiet for a change.
I am creating: beautiful handmade bibs etc and loving the feel of the lush new cotton.
I am thankful for: Granny's and Nannys and Aunties who help me with Finlay and my sanity!
